About First Nations Vet

Indigenous Ally Program

Who wants to help animals and Indigenous peoples? We've created a program to give organizations an opportunity to become an  Indigenous Ally.  Our program will formally recognize those that help save animal lives on reservations across America. Organizations can earn an official designation and earn grant funds to support the work you do.

Organizations must apply, and be accepted, into this program. By applying, you're letting us know you want to be an ally to Indigenous communities. There is no cost to apply.

WE NEED ALLIES TODAY!

There is no shelter or rescue group on the Umatilla reservation. The nearest shelter is over capacity and will not be able to take these dogs. We are desperate for allies to help us in Indian Country.

BE OUR ALLY - WE NEED YOUR HELP NOW

When we have litters

We'll post them here and ask our Allies for help!

Why is this program necessary?

Why is this program necessary?

Why is this program necessary?

When we're out there spay/neutering, we often find ourselves in all kinds of situations where we need help from our friends. We encounter owner surrenders, dumped dogs, dogs in need of a good fence, dogs needing needing transport, medical cases and a bunch of other stuff.
In the communities where we work, there is often no shelter for an unwanted or stray animal. The lack of resources in rural places makes rehoming a pet almost impossible. With the help of our partners, we aim to bridge that gap!

Who is eligible to apply?
